Organic Poria cocos is a polypore tuber found on the root of the pine tree. It has been a traditional ingredient in Chinese medicine for over 5,000 years and was harvested by Native Americans as a source of food. Rich in beta glucans, polysaccharides, fiber, and triterpenes, Poria cocos is the subject of much scientific study.
Wild Black Trumpet. Growing wild in hardwood forests around the world and especially near oak and beech trees, the black trumpet is prized as a gourmet culinary mushroom. Closely related to chanterelles and classified as both saprotrophic (feeding on organic matter) and mycorrhizal (symbiotic with the roots of trees and plants), black trumpets contain polysaccharides, polyphenols, beta glucans, and trace minerals.
